Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how VoltValue Labs ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use our platform.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email, language preference.
  • Vehicle telemetry: battery state of health, charge cycles, charging sessions and related data read from your vehicle through the manufacturer's official API — read-only.
  • Payment information: processed by our payment partners — we do not store your full card number.
  • Usage data: log data, device info, cookies and similar technologies to keep the Service running and improve it.
  • Communications: messages you send to our support team.

2. How we use your information

  • To operate the Service: connect your vehicle, collect daily readings, compute battery health and issue Passports.
  • To benchmark your vehicle anonymously against comparable vehicles in the VoltValue fleet.
  • To process payments and prevent fraud.
  • To send transactional emails (Passport ready, milestone notifications, account changes).
  • To improve the platform and develop new features.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We share information with: (a) infrastructure and payment providers that operate the Service on our behalf; (b) anyone you choose to share your Passport URL with; (c) authorities when legally required. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share your raw telemetry with third parties or with the vehicle's manufacturer.

4. Public Passports

A Passport you issue includes a public verification URL so buyers can confirm authenticity. The public page shows the battery metrics on the certificate but does not expose your name, email, address or vehicle identification number. You control when and to whom the URL is shared.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences and analytics. You can control cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account at any time; issued Passports may be retained in anonymised form for fleet benchmarking.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Email passport@voltvalue.app to exercise these rights.

7a. Thailand PDPA (พ.ร.บ. คุ้มครองข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล)

If you are located in Thailand, you have additional rights under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA), including the right to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Our lawful basis for processing your vehicle telemetry is your explicit consent provided at the time of connecting your vehicle. In the event of a personal data breach affecting your rights and freedoms, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours and notify you without undue delay. To exercise your PDPA rights, contact passport@voltvalue.app.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, and read-only scopes when talking to vehicle APIs. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password and notify us of any suspected unauthorised access.

9. Children

VoltValue is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email.
