Terms of Use

Last updated: 16 June 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using VoltValue ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

VoltValue is an independent auditing platform that connects to your electric vehicle through the manufacturer's official API (Tesla Fleet API and equivalents) on a read-only basis, analyses battery health and charging history, and issues a verifiable Battery Passport you can share with prospective buyers. VoltValue is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Tesla, BYD, Volvo, MG, or any other manufacturer.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You must be the lawful owner of, or otherwise authorised to connect, any vehicle you link.

4. Read-only access to your vehicle

VoltValue requests only read scopes from the manufacturer's API. We cannot unlock, honk, drive, charge, or change any setting on your vehicle. You may revoke access at any time from your manufacturer account; doing so will stop further data collection but will not retroactively invalidate Passports already issued.

5. Passports, payments and refunds

Issuing a Passport requires a one-time payment at the price displayed at checkout. An issued Passport is a snapshot of your vehicle's battery data at the moment of generation and remains valid as a historical record. Because each Passport is generated on demand using your live telemetry, all sales are final once the Passport has been issued. If a Passport fails to generate due to a fault on our side, we will re-issue it or refund the payment.

6. Accuracy and disclaimer

VoltValue presents data derived from your vehicle and benchmarks computed from our pilot fleet. Estimates of state of health, degradation and resale impact are informational only and do not constitute a warranty of vehicle condition, a guarantee of resale price, or professional advice. Buyers and sellers should perform their own due diligence before completing a transaction.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to: connecting a vehicle you do not own or are not authorised to audit, attempting to forge or alter a Passport, interfering with the platform's operation, or violating any applicable law.

8. Intellectual property

VoltValue, the VoltValue logo, the Passport design and the platform's code are the property of VoltValue Labs. Manufacturer names and logos shown on the Service remain the property of their respective owners and are displayed solely to indicate compatibility.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VoltValue is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid through the Service in the past 12 months.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
